Las Vegas Sea Cadets Header

Thanks for visiting the Las Vegas Sea Cadets!

When you join the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps (USNSCC), you will become a part of the finest youth organization in the NATION. The USNSCC, or just Sea Cadets, is actually two programs: the Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) and the Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC).

The Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) is for young men and women, ages 13-17, who have a desire to learn about the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines. The Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC) is for boys and girls who are at least 10 years but not yet 14 years old and are interested in the sea, ships, and our nation's seagoing services. The Navy League Cadet Corps program is designed to introduce young people to maritime and military life, and to prepare them for later entrance into the Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

The Sea Cadets are authorized by the Secretary of the Navy to wear U.S. Navy uniforms appropriately marked with the Sea Cadet Corps insignia. The objectives of the Sea Cadet program are to introduce young people to naval life, to develop in them a sense of pride, patriotism, courage, self-reliance, and to maintain an environment free of drugs and gangs.

The United States Navy officially supports the Naval Sea Cadet Corps and is administrated by the Navy League of the United States. Local support is provided by The Las Vegas Navy League Council which is the official sponsor of the BRUCE VAN VOORHIS MEMORIAL SQUADRON & TRAINING SHIP STAN E. MORRIS and provides financial support for the operation of this unit.
